At about 3 a.m. on 13 October 2026, five masked men in civilian clothes carrying sticks knocked on Yusuf Abu Aisha's door in Talfit, claiming to be soldiers, and beat him, his wife and their daughters aged 14 and 18. All four were hospitalised; his wife needed 30 stitches to the head and one daughter suffered a broken leg. Abu Aisha says the attackers were settlers; a military source said there had been a night operation in Talfit and the matter was being checked.
