On 7 October 2026 settlers attacked Palestinians harvesting olives on land between Burqa and the Ramin plain, northwest of Nablus. Ali Hassan al-Bazzari, 44, was shot dead, and several others were wounded by gunfire and beatings, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, PRCS and Al Jazeera. Middle East Eye reports that it was unclear whether settler or army fire killed him. Witnesses said soldiers protected the settlers and blocked ambulances, and PRCS said three paramedics and a volunteer were briefly detained.
