During the olive harvest in Aqraba's fields, a settler opened fire on Palestinian farmers. Several were reported wounded by gunfire or beaten. Armed men rode toward AFP photographers Jaafar Ashtiyeh and John Wessels, firing; two of them beat Ashtiyeh (58) with rifle butts as he tried to get into a car marked 'Press', and stole his camera equipment. Ashtiyeh was hospitalized in Nablus. Wessels said at least a dozen soldiers about 500 meters away did not intervene. No arrests were reported.
