Overnight on 28-29 September 2026 more than 100 settlers rioted in Jalud, south of Nablus, as Israeli forces tried to carry out a High Court-ordered return of the Tubasi family, displaced in July after settler harassment from a nearby outpost. According to the IDF, settlers blocked roads, burned tyres and threw stones at security forces, lightly injuring three Border Police officers; they set fire to the family's homes and the car they arrived in, and to other Palestinian homes, cars and property. Troops evacuated the family in a military vehicle and the return was abandoned. Two settlers aged 15 and 17 were detained in Jalud and a Jerusalem resident was arrested the next morning; Prime Minister Netanyahu condemned the violence.
