Settlers try to burn mosque in Bazzariya, spray threats to Huckabee

Early on Tuesday 1 September 2026 settlers tried to set fire to the Nur al-Din Zanki mosque in Bazzariya. A neighbour described a small explosion that started a fire inside; residents contained it. Racist Hebrew slogans were sprayed on the walls, including a message to US ambassador Mike Huckabee: 'Huckabee, greetings from the terrorists'.
