On Saturday 11 July 2026, settlers attacked journalists visiting Sinjil, north of Ramallah, to mark one year since the killing of Palestinian-American Saif Musallet. According to CNN, four settlers armed with wooden and metal rods, stones and a knife blocked the road, tried to puncture the tyres of CNN's car, smashed its rear window and climbed onto a second car carrying independent journalists, smashing its windshield; Andrey X was among the journalists attacked. Another group of settlers then chased the vehicles and hit the armoured car with clubs before the crew called the army. Police arrested four suspects the same day and said they found a knife and clubs in their car. The Foreign Press Association said it was the second settler attack on foreign journalists in Sinjil that month.
