Israeli settlers attacked Qusra overnight, setting fire to two poultry-farming structures, according to WAFA, which said they acted under the protection of Israeli forces. A 32-year-old Palestinian man was assaulted and suffered a deep head wound, rescuers said. Israeli police said the incident involved assault and arson by Israeli civilians and arrested eight suspects aged 18 to 48, finding an army-issued M-16 rifle in searches. Military chief Eyal Zamir called the attacks morally and ethically unacceptable.
