OCHA reported that Israeli settlers attacked and injured an elderly Palestinian man and two activists providing protective presence in the Hammamat al Maleh herding community during the week of 10–16 March 2026. The activist-journalist who posted the video says that on 10 March settlers first beat the 70-year-old resident. About an hour later masked settlers returned, smashed the activists' car, broke into a house and kicked and punched him, the resident and a 70-year-old activist, and took his phone. He says the police who arrived told them to file a complaint, and the resident was taken to hospital and discharged the next day.
