Around dawn on 13 November 2025 settlers set fire to the Hajja Hamida Mosque in Deir Istiya, burning copies of the Quran and spraying Hebrew graffiti including 'we will revenge again'. The UN, Jordan, Germany and Switzerland condemned the attack; the military said no suspects had been identified and passed the case to police and the Shin Bet.
