On 18 May 2025 settlers set up a new outpost less than 100 metres from the Bedouin community of Mughayyir al-Deir, east of Ramallah, the fourth around it. In the following days settlers raided the community, threatened residents and Israeli activists, set fires, threw stones at homes and stole belongings. On 22 May the 21 households (about 116-124 people) began dismantling their homes. On 24 May settlers assaulted and injured 12 Palestinians, including a 13-year-old, and two Israeli activists with stones and batons; Israeli forces then expelled Palestinians from the area, which OCHA says is now empty and blocked off.
