Mosque in Marda set on fire and sprayed with 'Revenge' graffiti

On 20 December 2024, the entrance of the Bir al-Walidain mosque in Marda, near Salfit, was set on fire and Hebrew slogans including 'Revenge' and 'Death to Arabs' were sprayed on its walls; Palestinian officials blamed settlers. The fire was put out before it spread, and Israeli police and the Shin Bet said they had opened an investigation.
