About 15 families were harvesting olives north of the village when dozens of settlers, some masked and armed, arrived. At about noon the settlers attacked them with clubs, metal pipes, knives and stones and threatened some at gunpoint, injuring 20 residents. Soldiers who arrived fired in the air and stayed while the attack continued, and stopped other villagers from reaching the groves. Border Police later fired in the air and threw stun grenades at residents. The settlers stayed until evening and stole items the harvesters left behind.
