After a car was burned near the old Burqa-Ramallah road, which has been closed since the Givat Assaf outpost was set up, more than 30 settlers and about 10 soldiers advanced on the village. One group of settlers stoned residents while the escorting soldiers fired live rounds. The other group set fire to Nizam Mu'tan's livestock enclosure and then stoned residents trying to put it out, injuring his son Omar, 20, in the forehead. Firefighters could not reach the site for half an hour. One sheep died and about 30 bales of feed were burned. Border Police later drove the settlers away.
