On 21 October 2023 settlers from the Meitarim Farm outpost raided Khirbet Zanuta accompanied by Israeli forces and threatened to harm residents if they did not leave; the community was fully displaced by 22 October. Earlier attacks included burning tents and classrooms, breaking into homes, beating residents with rifles, smashing solar panels and emptying water tanks. Supreme Court rulings in 2024 and 2025 allowing return were not enforced, and returning families were driven out again.
