On 24 June 2023 settlers attacked the Bedouin herding community of Ein ar-Rashash, northeast of al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah. They beat residents and demolished six residential tents, according to Al-Quds. Activist David Shulman reports that settlers struck Haj Salameh Zawahra, aged about 85 to 87, on the head with a club and hit his back with a heavy rock, leaving him bleeding heavily; soldiers present did not intervene and delayed his evacuation to hospital. Israeli forces arrested three members of the Zawahra family. The community was later forced out entirely in October 2023, moving to the village of Duma.
