At noon on 3 February 2022 four young settlers from an outpost east of Khirbet Zanuta, with a dog, sticks and batons, drove shepherd Ribhi al-Battat and his three sons off their land, stoned and beat the flock, killing several sheep and injuring others, and tried to take the herd. Israeli soldiers watched, the village council said; police then arrested the three sons for allegedly entering 'state land'. OCHA recorded settlers stoning farmers in Khirbet Zanuta, killing a sheep and injuring four.
