On 21 January 2022 settlers from the Givat Ronen outpost attacked Israeli and Palestinian volunteers planting olive trees on Burin land. At least eight people were taken to hospital, including the organiser, who needed hand surgery. Settlers smashed car windows and set one car on fire with gasoline. The army arrived later. Public Security Minister Omer Barlev called it a terrorist attack; activists filed complaints, but no perpetrator was reported caught a week later.
